This must’ve been one of the hardest residential jobs I’ve done in the last 27 years. All roof pitches were far too steep to be walk-able, and most peaks were not wide enough to use ladder hooks. Because this was an issue on three of the four sides, renting a boom lift wouldn’t have even helped – since a boom lift would have destroying much of his landscape. Most high work was done using a combination of various safety equipment, planks, ladder jacks, roof anchors, lots of rope, lanyards, and harnesses. The cherry on top was the basketball-sized wasps nests on two of upper peaks that I couldn’t reach until I was physically on the roof! All ended well and my customers were thrilled with the final result.
