For this project I gave a quick face-lift to two chimneys before my client listed his home for sale. The old paint was failing everywhere on the weathered cinder block chimneys, so most of it had to be removed. The home was built before 1978 and, although testing showed no traces of lead in the paint, there was no way I was going to risk contamination – especially with the public pool not 20″ behind the home filled with kids cooling off in the summer heat. To be extra careful, 100% of dust and contaminate was contained during this paint removal process.
