This house had some broken bones that needed fixing. Not everyone can justify or afford tearing up half the home for repairs, so I presented several options to the homeowner – giving her varied levels of repairs and preparation with prices for each option. There were a few MUSTS in terms of repairs. We addressed drainage issues caused by the flat roof and rusty leaking downspouts caused rot in several areas. Around 20 rafter tails were also cut off flush with the house (since the parts that protruded beyond the facia boards were rotten). And we must’ve scraped 80 gallons of paint chips off the home. The end result was a dramatic transformation that not only pleased my customer, but fit within her budget.
